Our Youth Ministry Program
Saint Ann of Frankfort, welcomes any students from elementary through high school to be part of our Youth Ministry Program. Our Youth Ministry Program has been active since 1950s. Leaders in our church encourage all students to join us. Our students range from pre-school to high school. Our Youth Ministry catechists: Kristin Smeltzer, Donald Smeltzer, Donna Chalmers, Bridget MacRAE, and Genevieve MacRAE.
Kristin Smelter, Director of Parish Life and Youth Minister leader, has taught many students the good works of our Catholic Faith, and WHY it is important we receive the sacraments and helps the youth connect with Christ. Our youth are able to bring forth the Word of God and do the work of the church that Christ calls us to do. Some activities our Youth Ministry Program does is watch movies and interpret the message of our Gospel or try to see how this fictional plot can relate to the Bible or our Faith. We have fun games like foosball or Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza. Lunch is provided for all the Youth and catechists, parents are more than welcome to come and stay, we encourage parents to see what our Youth Ministry program is. So far, our Youth Ministry program has been dormant due to COVID-19, however, with this year, we have had a growing number of students. If you are a parishioner family that wants to get have their children involved with our Youth Ministry program, please contact Kristin Smeltzer at 231-352-4421 ext. 11 or email at [email protected] We also provide a Adult Bible Study to our older parishioners that are active learners in their faith and connection to Christ.
